Emek Refaim Street Residential Compound, German Colony, Jerusalem
This project is located along Emek Refaim, the German Colony’s central street and light rail corridor. Three 1960s structures will be replaced with three eight-story residential buildings, comprising 114 apartments.
The buildings are arranged around a small piazza that links the local park, Emek Refaim Street, and the Railway City Park, creating strong connections between neighborhood life, commerce, and leisure. Ground-floor retail activates the streetscape and park edges, while apartments include sun balconies with open views.
Respecting the Templer-built heritage of the 1860s, the design integrates traditional motifs with contemporary architectural language, presenting a dialogue between past and present.
