Near the main street of Beit HaKerem, a prestigious garden neighborhood planned by architect Richard Kauffman in 1923, a five-story building with 18 apartments, built in the 1960s, will be replaced by a new building accommodating 144 apartments.

The proposed building attempts to bridge the characteristics of six-story residential buildings with those of the adjacent high-rise hotels and ongoing developments of up to 35-story towers along the major routes.

The design is composed of a six-story podium accommodating public and commercial uses on the ground floor, with apartments on the upper floors. Above the podium rises a slender residential tower that blends with the surrounding developments.

The building’s façade pattern  incorporate balconies and large openings shaded by metal screens, creating a light and transparent appearance.
