Terra Sancta Court, Jerusalem

In the heart of Jerusalem’s prestigious residential and tourism quarter, within walking distance to the Old City, the 10,000 m2 historical Franciscan compound with the Terra Sancta monument, built as hospital and a small church, is designated for a new residential and commercial development. The design scheme retains the site’s triangular geometry, with 300 residential units arranged around a common courtyard, with a public rights off way, typical of Jerusalem’s modernist’s clusters. The Terra Sancta building is converted to accommodate a hotel and shops, connecting to a small square surrounded by a strip of shops with the church at its center.
