Gilo Town Houses, Gilo, Jerusalem

On the slopes of the Gilo Valley, two family townhouses are designed to bridge between the natural landscape and the new introduced urbanity of the Gilo neighborhood. West elevations turn to face the open view of Jerusalem’s northwest sky line, while East elevations remain parallel to the street, maintaining a character of urban attached town-houses. Sunken courtyards, together with the large arched entrance openings, enable privacy and penetration of light into the interior spaces of the town houses.
